According to the Political Report of the 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, the economic growth rate in the 2021 - 2025 period reached 7.11%/year. By 2025, the total product in the province reached 694,457 billion VND, GRDP per capita reached 153.7 million VND/person, equivalent to about 6,066 USD/person. Industrial development policies are of interest; developing industrial parks and clusters in an ecological direction; selectively attracting investment, developing high-tech industry and agricultural processing. In particular, the construction of Long Thanh International Airport, expressways, and belt roads through Dong Nai, connecting with Ho Chi Minh City, the Southeast region, the Central Highlands region and the Mekong Delta region helps create new development momentum for the province.
The implementation of Resolution No. 24-NQ/TW dated October 7, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region to 2030, with a vision to 2045, has achieved many positive results; regional connectivity has been strengthened, strategic infrastructure, investment attraction, industrial, urban and service development has flourished, continuing to affirm the province's role as a driving force in the development of the Southeast region.
Complete the Provincial Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 with a long-term vision. Urban planning, management, real estate market, and construction are focused. Infrastructure and trade activities, logistics services are developed. Maintain a trade surplus, with Dong Nai's 5-year export turnover reaching over 168 billion USD. Agricultural production has developed and the construction of new rural areas has achieved remarkable results. The structure of the agricultural sector has shifted in the right direction, promoting the development of clean agriculture, organic agriculture, and high-tech agriculture. Dong Nai ranks first in the country in the number of communes meeting the model new rural standards, and second in the number of communes meeting the advanced new rural standards.
The effectiveness of public investment is enhanced, promoting the leading role; mobilizing resources from economic sectors well, creating momentum for economic growth. In the period of 2021 - 2025, the total investment capital for social development in Dong Nai province is more than 725,000 billion VND. In particular, the growth rate of total product in the area in the period of 2026 - 2030 is set to reach an average of 10%/year or more. The general goal by 2030 is to build Dong Nai into a green, prosperous, civilized and modern city; striving to basically meet the criteria of a centrally-run city by 2030. Regarding breakthrough tasks, Dong Nai sets out 8 specific task groups and 3 strategic breakthroughs.

Regarding solutions, the political report proposed eight key groups of solutions to realize development aspirations in the new period. The focus is to continue building and rectifying the Party and a clean and strong political system; renewing the growth model, promoting science, technology, innovation and digital transformation; strongly developing the private and collective economy; strengthening regional cooperation and linkages, effectively mobilizing all resources. Along with that is developing modern and sustainable agriculture and rural areas; ensuring national defense and security, maintaining border sovereignty; promoting administrative reform associated with international integration; and especially promoting the role of the people as the main subject, consolidating the great national unity bloc.
In particular, Dong Nai added the "6 clear" principle, including: clear people, clear work, clear time, clear responsibility, clear product, clear authority to ensure feasibility and effectiveness in organization and implementation.
The 1st Congress of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee will take place on September 29 and 30, 2025 at the Dong Nai Provincial Convention Center. The Congress will announce the Central Committee's decisions on the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the 1st Provincial Party Committee.
