Dien Bien district organizes forest fire prevention and fighting drills in 2024

The exercise was divided into two phases, including three training issues. With the motto of "prevention is the main thing", immediately after receiving the directive and telegram on the risk of forest fires at level 5 (the highest level in forest fire forecasting), the Party Committee and the Na U commune government focused on leading, directing, and perfecting the Forest Fire Prevention and Control Command Committee; adjusting, supplementing, and implementing the Forest Fire Prevention and Control and Forest Protection plan. Organizing and assigning tasks to members of the command committee; heads and deputy heads of organizations, unions and forces in coordination in forest fire prevention and protection.

Phase 2 (practice forest fire fighting), with the hypothetical situation of some households burning fields but due to carelessness, the fire spread to the forest area of ​​Na U village. To promptly prevent and not let a big fire happen, Na U commune mobilized vehicles along with militia, police, border guards, youth union members in combination with people from the villages to quickly move to the scene to extinguish the fire.

The purpose of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Drill is to improve the leadership and direction capacity of Party committees and authorities in forest protection and fire prevention and rescue; the advisory role of agencies and organizations as well as the ability to coordinate between forces in responding to forest fire situations according to the "4 on-the-spot" motto. At the same time, through the drill, it helps to raise people's awareness of fire prevention and rescue and forest protection.

The fire prevention and search and rescue drill in Na U commune completed the proposed items, ensuring absolute safety for people and equipment, and was evaluated as excellent by the Dien Bien District Steering Committee.
