Krong Nang district strives to have 8/11 communes meeting new rural standards by 2025.

On August 3, in Ea Tan commune, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district organized the launching ceremony of the emulation movement "Krong Nang joins hands to build new rural areas" for the period 2021 - 2025.

Attending the launching ceremony were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission Le Van Nghia; Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office Nguyen Huu Vinh; leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches, and organizations of Krong Nang district and a large number of cadres, party members, and people of Ea Tan commune.

Implementing the National Target Program on New Rural Construction, from the starting point (2010) when no commune met the new rural standards, up to now, Krong Nang district has 5/11 communes meeting the standards; according to the new set of assessment criteria, the whole district has achieved 129/209 criteria (accounting for 86.12%, an average of 11.72 criteria/commune).

In the period of 2010 - 2020, the whole district built, upgraded and repaired over 300 km of rural concrete roads; solidified 17 km of intra-field canals; built 7 cultural houses and commune-level cultural centers; the basic electricity system met the production and living needs of the people; people and businesses supported 345 billion VND, contributed millions of working days, and donated over 83,000 m2 of land to build local socio -economic infrastructure works; the material and spiritual life of people in rural areas was significantly improved...

Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh, Deputy Chief of the Provincial Office of New Rural Development Coordination, spoke at the launching ceremony.

Implementing the direction of the Central and the province, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district launched an emulation movement, striving that by the end of 2025, the whole district will have a cumulative 72.73% of communes meeting the NTM standards (equivalent to 8/11 communes); of which, at least 18.18% of communes will meet the advanced NTM standards (equivalent to 2/11 communes); there will be no more communes with less than 10 criteria; the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program will have a cumulative 12 products evaluated and classified as 3 stars or higher.

Leaders of Krong Nang district awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 4 families in Ea Tan commune with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to build new rural areas in the period 2021 - 2022.

To contribute to the successful implementation of the above contents, the District People's Committee launched a number of key emulation contents, including: the entire political system and people clearly recognize the viewpoint that "building a new rural area is a long-term, regular, continuous process, with a starting point and no end point"; continue to maintain 5 commune-level units meeting new rural area standards, complete at least 1 more commune meeting new rural area standards in 2023; mobilize and effectively integrate investment resources for rural areas, make key investments to upgrade the economic - cultural - social infrastructure system in rural areas; focus on restructuring the agricultural sector; promote emulation to improve the material and spiritual life of people in rural areas, promote the role of the people as the main subject; promptly commend and reward outstanding collectives and individuals with many contributions to the emulation movement...

Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Krong Nang district Vu Van My presented gifts to policy families and families in difficult circumstances in Ea Tan commune.

At the ceremony, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district signed a competition agreement on building new rural areas with Ea Tan commune; the People's Committee of Ea Tan commune signed a competition agreement on building new rural areas with 16 villages and hamlets.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huu Vinh, Deputy Chief of the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office, suggested that in the coming time, the Party Committee, the government, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the district's organizations focus on leading and directing the implementation of a number of key tasks: thoroughly grasping and effectively organizing the implementation of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TU, dated December 24, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on building new rural areas in Dak Lak province for the period 2021 - 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Promote restructuring of the agricultural sector, innovate the growth model associated with developing high-tech agriculture; maintain and improve quality, ensure sustainability of new rural criteria associated with socio-economic development.

Continue to enhance the role and responsibility of Party committees, Party organizations, heads of agencies, units and localities in leading and directing innovation to improve the quality and effectiveness of emulation movements; focus on replicating typical examples and advanced models; promote propaganda and mobilization work, raise awareness so that people can proactively and actively participate in building new rural areas...

Representatives of Ea Tan commune leaders signed the Emulation Covenant with representatives of villages and hamlets.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Krong Nang district awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 collective and 4 families in Ea Tan commune with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement to build new rural areas in the period of 2021 - 2022; awarded 32 gifts (worth 500,000 VND/gift) to policy families and families in difficult circumstances.

Delegates and leaders of the People's Committee of Krong Nang district started the project to repair, renovate and expand rural roads in the center of Ea Tan commune.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, delegates and leaders of the People's Committee of Krong Nang district organized the groundbreaking ceremony for the project to repair, renovate and expand the rural traffic road in the center of Ea Tan commune with a length of 280 m.
