Gia Vien District Party Committee deploys key tasks for the last 6 months of the year

On July 5, Gia Vien District Party Committee held a conference to review the leadership and direction of the implementation of tasks in the first 6 months of the year and deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2024. Attending the conference was comrade To Van Tu, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee.

In the first 6 months of the year, with the efforts of the entire political system, the business community and all classes of people, Gia Vien district has achieved quite comprehensive results in all fields. Notably, the work of building the Party and government was implemented synchronously, comprehensively and effectively; the political system was increasingly consolidated. The whole district admitted 215 new party members, reaching 96.4% of the yearly plan; established 1 party organization in a non-state enterprise.

The economy continues to develop, industrial production recovers and grows with production revenue estimated at 13,630.3 billion VND, up 30.4% over the same period in 2023. Agricultural production has a good harvest; the movement to build advanced new rural areas and model new rural areas has received attention and direction, achieving many results.

The trade, service and tourism sectors continue to develop, especially service tourism. The total number of visitors to tourist attractions and festivals in the area increased sharply, estimated at over 1.5 million, with estimated revenue of VND 1,429.8 billion (an increase of 7.7% in the number of visitors and 12.2% in revenue over the same period in 2023). Site clearance for a number of key projects continues to receive attention and direction.

Culture and society have made much progress, social security policies have been fully and promptly implemented, and people's lives have been improved. The district has successfully organized activities to celebrate the 1100th anniversary of the birth of King Dinh Tien Hoang (924-2024) and the Nguyen Temple Festival in 2024. Security and national defense have been strengthened, social order and safety have been ensured; administrative reform, handling of complaints and denunciations, and prevention and fight against corruption and negativity have been focused on and have had positive changes.

The conference spent a lot of time discussing and clarifying the achieved results, analyzing the causes of difficulties and problems, and proposing solutions to effectively implement the goals and tasks in the last 6 months of 2024.

Speaking at the conference, comrade To Van Tu, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Organization Committee acknowledged and commended the results that the Party Committee, government and people of Gia Vien district have achieved in the first 6 months of the year.

In the coming time, he requested that Party committees and authorities from district to grassroots levels continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, determination, resoluteness, and creativity in leadership, direction, and administration, and strive to fulfill the highest goals and tasks of 2024.

Organize the dissemination and implementation of Directive No. 35-CT/TW dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party and the directive documents of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on organizing Party Congresses at all levels; thoroughly and thoughtfully prepare in all aspects to successfully organize Party Congresses at all levels and the Gia Vien District Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee requested Gia Vien district to continue to adhere to the set goals, viewpoints and mottos to strive to achieve advanced new rural standards in the final year of the District Party Congress term 2020-2025 and strive to follow the district planning to become a type IV urban area before 2030; gradually becoming one of the regional economic centers, a driving force for the strong development of Ninh Binh province.

Urgently complete the plan to rearrange commune- and village-level administrative units in the district in the 2023-2025 period, pay attention to implementing policies to resolve surplus labor, and preferential policies for incumbents, retirees, and those subject to rearrangement.

Promote administrative reform, apply information technology, digital transformation, improve transparency in the operations of State management agencies, promptly remove difficulties and obstacles and effectively support businesses in production development. Pay more attention to building cultural life; preserve and promote good traditional cultural values, turn tradition into an important resource to build a more and more sustainable local development.

Strengthening local defense and military work, ensuring political security, social order and safety, judicial reform, and preventing and combating corruption.

On this occasion, the Provincial Party Standing Committee awarded the Emulation Flag to 1 Party organization; awarded Certificates of Merit to 1 Party organization and 5 Party members who achieved the standard of "Excellent completion of tasks" for 5 consecutive years 2019-2023.
