Protecting workers' rights during the period of restructuring and streamlining the apparatus

On July 4, the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies held a conference to review Party building work and thematic activities in the second quarter of 2025; and organized social security activities in Vinh Long province.

Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committees of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City: Nguyen Khoa Hai and Le Thi Hong Nga led the delegation.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies Le Thi Hong Nga reported on the summary of Party building work in the first 6 months of the year and disseminated directions, contents and solutions for the last 6 months of the year.

In the second quarter thematic session, delegates listened to the Party Committees of the Trade Unions of the Ho Chi Minh City Party agencies report on the achievements and difficulties and obstacles in the reorganization of the Trade Union apparatus at all levels; at the same time, propose solutions to effectively reorganize and streamline the Trade Union organization and apparatus in the coming time.

Delegates also discussed and clarified the role of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee in advising on leadership and direction of the activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ho Chi Minh City, wards, communes, and special zones in directing the activities of the Trade Union Committees at all levels.

Concluding the thematic session, comrade Le Thi Hong Nga requested delegates to continue to pay attention and study solutions to ensure better implementation of the organization and streamlining of the apparatus. In particular, focusing on promoting propaganda, raising awareness and responsibility of employers in properly implementing legal regulations. Pay special attention to solutions to care for and protect the rights of cadres, civil servants and employees in the stage of organization and apparatus arrangement related to the Labor Law and the Social Insurance Law.

Comrade Nguyen Khoa Hai and Comrade Le Thi Hong Nga presented a symbolic plaque to build two charity houses for poor households in Vinh Long province.

At the same time, promote the advisory role for the Party Committee Standing Committee and the Party Committee Standing Committee in monitoring the activities of branches, grassroots Party Committees, and Party Committees of units that employ workers in non-state public service units, in order to protect the rights of workers; effectively implement democracy at the grassroots level, agencies, and enterprises, aiming at the goal of building a City Trade Union that operates substantially, effectively, has a pervasive influence, and is truly a reliable support for workers.

Within the framework of the conference, the Party Committee of the Party agencies of Ho Chi Minh City presented a symbolic plaque to build two charity houses for poor households in Vinh Long province, each worth 50 million VND.
