iPhone 15 Pro Max expected to start at $1,299?

According to a leaked source from the supply chain, the selling price of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max duo will increase by 100-200 USD compared to the previous generation. Meanwhile, the 2 versions of iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will still keep the same price.

Specifically, the selling price of iPhone 15 Pro will start from 1,099 USD, an increase of 100 USD compared to iPhone 14 Pro. Meanwhile, the selling price of iPhone 15 Pro Max will start from 1,299 USD, 200 USD higher than iPhone 14 Pro Max.

According to analyst Tim Long from Barclays, the iPhone 15 Pro Max will be equipped with a periscope lens, providing 6x optical zoom without reducing image quality.

In particular, these upgrades will not appear on the remaining iPhone 15 versions. The expert believes that this upgrade will increase the cost of raw materials to produce the iPhone 15 Pro Max by at least 50 USD.

Some previous leaks also indicated that the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max duo will have a series of improvements from the titanium frame, thinner screen border, USB-C charging port, new A17 Bionic chip and WiFi 6E technology.

In the iOS 17 Beta 4 update just released by Apple, users have found some special code. These codes indicate that the iPhone 15 Pro and ‌iPhone 15 Pro‌ Max duo will be equipped with a completely new Action key.

Accordingly, the Action key is said to help users open features such as accessibility, shortcuts, camera, sound mode, flashlight, magnifier, focus mode, translation and recording.

With these equipment, production costs will increase, forcing Apple to raise product prices. If the above information is correct, this will be the first time the technology giant has increased the prices of high-end iPhone models since the iPhone X generation was launched in 2017.
