On July 16, at the ICISE Center (Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh), the opening ceremony of two international scientific events on training human resources and young researchers in the field of elementary particle physics took place, including: the 8th Vietnamese neutrino class, and the 30th Vietnamese physics class, attracting 66 professors and young researchers from 18 countries and territories.

Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Science and Technology Association (manager of the ICISE Center), said that the 8th Vietnam class on neutrinos will have 32 young scientists and researchers from Japan, China, India, Italy, and Vietnam. The class invites many professors and great scientists from research institutes and universities in Japan, the UK, India, and China to provide young researchers with knowledge of particle physics, neutrino physics; basic principles and modern techniques to detect neutrinos; neutrino projects that are being and will be built in the world ... In addition, students will learn specific skills, such as running simulations of neutrino interactions, classifying interactions through images obtained from detectors from the Super-Kamiokande (SK) Experiment - which directly contributed to the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics...

The 30th Vietnam Physics Class has 34 scientists and researchers from 13 countries and territories participating. The class aims to connect students and young researchers with a passion for physics to approach and update new research methods on elementary particle physics and dark matter with professors from Taiwan, England, France, India, Belgium, etc.

“These are two annual classes organized by the Vietnam Science Association to connect, update knowledge, and train new human resources for fundamental physics. Thereby, helping young students in Vietnam and the world to exchange and interact with leading professors, creating relationships between teachers and students, colleagues and friends to help each other on the research path. This is also a great opportunity for young Vietnamese students to seek doctoral and postdoctoral research scholarships at major universities and research institutes around the world, contributing to strengthening the fundamental physics research force for Vietnam”, shared Professor Tran Thanh Van.
