Western tourists wearing red flag shirts with yellow stars, hoarsely cheering for Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - At Ta Hien Street (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi ), many Western tourists cheered and supported the Vietnamese team, hoping the players would bring home victory.
At 8 p.m., the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final between Vietnam and Thailand officially kicked off at Rajamangala Stadium (Thailand). Hours before, a large number of locals and foreign tourists, wearing red shirts with yellow stars and banners, poured into Ta Hien Street to cheer for the Vietnamese team. Luke (British) and Ellinor (Finnish) had seen images of Vietnamese people "going wild" on the Internet. On their first day in Hanoi, they bought two shirts with the red flag with a yellow star to celebrate with fans after the match if Vietnam won the championship. "We are excited because we have never been wild in Vietnam. If Vietnam wins the cup, we will stay up all night to celebrate," Luke said excitedly. During their 2 weeks in Vietnam, this 10-member family enjoyed the days living in an atmosphere of enthusiastic football cheering. "I was very impressed with the image of the red flag with yellow star filling the sky, the crowded and bustling crowd cheering for the Vietnamese team," said Tim. The Italian couple Maria and Alex squeezed through the crowd on Ta Hien Street to cheer for the Vietnamese team. They were impressed by the more exciting atmosphere than when watching football in their home country and predicted a 2-1 score in favor of Vietnam. "In Italy, whenever there are football matches, we usually go to bars or stay at home instead of going out on the streets like this. I really like this atmosphere, it's rare in the world ," Maria shared. Everyone gathered in front of the big screen, cheering for the Vietnamese team. Many foreign visitors used cameras to record the Vietnamese team's matches, as well as the enthusiastic cheering atmosphere. Tuan Hai escaped and flicked the ball over the home team's goalkeeper to score. Many Western guests cheered in excitement. A few minutes later, the visitors expressed regret when the Vietnamese player missed the opportunity to score right next to the Thai team's goal. When Vietnamese players put pressure on the Thai goal, Western fans cheered along with the Vietnamese fans: Vietnam is the champion! Some foreign tourists said that if Vietnam wins, they will stay up all night to celebrate with fans.
