Opening of the 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030

On the morning of October 3, at the Gia Lai Provincial Convention Center, the 1st Congress of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, officially opened in a solemn, united and enthusiastic atmosphere. This is a major political event, marking an important turning point of Gia Lai province in the process of new and modern development.

Attending and directing the Congress were comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; together with representatives of leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense , neighboring provinces and more than 650 delegates, including 450 official delegates representing more than 147,000 party members in the whole province.

According to Directive No. 45 of the Politburo , the Congress does not conduct personnel work at the Party Committee level and does not elect delegates to attend the congress at a higher level. The appointment of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, key positions of the Provincial Party Committee for this term and the allocation and appointment of delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party are decided by the Politburo.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Comrade Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, emphasized that in the past term, despite many difficulties and challenges, we have achieved many important results in the fields of socio -economy, national defense and security, foreign affairs, Party building, and political system building.

At this Congress, we have the responsibility to correctly assess the implementation of the Congress Resolution for the 2020-2025 period, clearly pointing out the advantages, disadvantages, causes and lessons learned.



Comrade Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee delivered the opening speech at the Congress.

"Thereby, clearly defining the direction, goals, tasks, and breakthrough solutions to help the province develop faster, more comprehensively, and more sustainably in the coming period," Comrade Ho Quoc Dung emphasized.

At the Congress, delegates heard important reports: Political report of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term presented by Comrade Pham Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee;

The report reviewing the leadership of the Provincial Party Executive Committee was presented by Comrade Rah Lan Chung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

The presentations at the Congress focused on key issues such as: breakthrough solutions for socio-economic development; building strong grassroots party organizations associated with the two-level local government model; developing urban economy associated with improving people's lives...

All opinions demonstrate responsibility, intelligence and enthusiasm, contributing to deepening the content of the documents submitted to the Congress.

In particular, at the working session, comrade Bui Thi Quynh Van, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee, announced the Politburo's Decision on appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary and Deputy Secretary of the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Accordingly, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc was appointed to hold the position of Gia Lai Provincial Party Secretary. The new Executive Committee was introduced to the Congress amid warm congratulations from the delegates.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia highly appreciated the results that the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee had achieved in the past term, and at the same time oriented the key tasks and breakthroughs that need to be focused on in the coming term.

He emphasized that Gia Lai needs to strongly promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, creativity, effectively exploit potential and advantages to develop rapidly and sustainably, improve people's lives, maintain national defense and security and build a clean and strong Party organization.

Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, gave a speech directing the Congress.

On behalf of the new term Provincial Party Executive Committee, comrade Thai Dai Ngoc delivered a speech in response, expressing deep gratitude for the trust of the Central Committee and the Congress, and pledged to work with the Executive Committee to make every effort, promote intelligence, responsibility, and solidarity to successfully implement the Congress Resolution.

The 1st Congress of Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, will continue to work until October 4, 2025. The opening session will be broadcast live on GTV channel of Gia Lai Newspaper and Radio-Television Station.
