Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen and Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen attended and pressed the button to open the event.
Although this is the second time Hanoi has organized this event with the aim of attracting international visitors to the capital, and at the same time celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10), during the Festival, there will be many cultural and tourism events typical of Hanoi with rich and unique content.
Specifically, the space recreates the image of bustling Hanoi filled with a forest of flags and flowers welcoming the victorious army back; the model of Hanoi Flag Tower, Hang Co Station, Long Bien Bridge are historical evidence of a heroic resistance period of the people of the capital; the space promotes and introduces tourist destinations; promotes the flavor of Hanoi; spaces and experiential activities for people and tourists at home and abroad.
During the event, Hanoi City organized a Festival to demonstrate the skills of artisans and skilled workers and an exhibition to introduce typical craft products of Hanoi. Thereby honoring the values, traditional and sophisticated handicraft products of Hanoi craft villages created by the talented, skillful, meticulous hands and unlimited creativity of artisans and skilled workers of the craft villages.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, HPA Director Nguyen Anh Duong said that following the success of the Hanoi Autumn Festival Program in 2023, he was honored to receive the 16th "Bui Xuan Phai - For the Love of Hanoi" award for the category "Work for the Love of Hanoi".
The program "Hanoi Autumn Festival 2024" is an event with large-scale investment, a tourism product that affirms the brand, promotes the effective exploitation of the potential and strengths of each locality, creating momentum for fast and sustainable socio-economic development.
“The capital’s tourism is in a period of strong transformation, being an important bridge in regional, regional and international connections. Hopefully, with the experiences at the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival in 2024, delegates and visitors will have deep impressions of Hanoi - an attractive, safe and friendly tourist destination” - Mr. Nguyen Anh Duong emphasized.
Also at the opening ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi received support from units and organizations for flood victims with a total amount of more than 213 million VND.
