The 2024 Ripe Fruit Festival is not only a special cultural event, but also has an important meaning in building the local cultural brand. This is an opportunity to promote the local beauty, special fruit products of Binh Duong, especially Lai Thieu fruit garden, to tourists.
The festival not only focuses on artistic activities but also has more than 120 booths displaying artistically shaped fruits, orchids, ornamental birds, ceramic and lacquer products and typical dishes of Binh Duong as well as other regions in the country.
The opening night of the Festival took place with an attractive stage show with the theme "Fragrance and Colors of Binh Duong". The program included 3 parts: "Binh Duong - Warm Land - Human Love", "Lai Thieu - Season of Appointment" and "Binh Duong - Bright Future". The program started with the dance performance "Xuoi Ve Dat Thu", recreating the image of people migrating to a new land, working to reclaim land with faith in the future. This was followed by diverse art performances such as solos, duets and male-female choirs, contributing to highlighting the unique culture and art of Binh Duong.
Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee, in his opening speech, emphasized that the development of fruit gardens and tourism services is one of the top priorities of the province. Focusing on exploiting the potential and advantages of localities in the province, especially the areas specializing in growing specialty fruit trees such as Tan Uyen, Bac Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng, and Lai Thieu fruit garden of Thuan An city, the 2024 Ripe Fruit Festival has created an important playground to introduce and promote the cultural and tourism values of Binh Duong to tourists as well as the community. The festival not only creates business opportunities for local businesses but also contributes to promoting the local economy and generating income for people.
In addition, the Ripe Fruit Festival also has diverse cultural, artistic and entertainment activities such as fruit parades, singing and dancing performances, art performances, folk games and agricultural product exhibitions. This is an opportunity for both locals and visitors to participate and enjoy the joyful and vibrant atmosphere of the festival.
