Urgent storm prevention for tourist areas in Ha Tinh

(Baohatinh.vn) - Reinforcement, cleaning and relocation of assets are being urgently carried out by tourist areas in Ha Tinh to minimize damage when storm No. 10 makes landfall.

At Thien Cam Tourist Area (Thien Cam Commune), the cleaning is taking place very urgently. Kiosks and restaurants along the beach are being dismantled or reinforced.

Canopies, tables, chairs, and other flammable items were collected by local residents and authorities and brought to safe shelters.

Ms. Phan Thanh Hoc - a long-time trader at Thien Cam tourist area worried: "We are used to storms, but this one is said to be very strong. Last night, no one could sleep, just busy packing. Most of the goods have been brought home or stored in high places. We just hope the storm will pass quickly so we can get up and do business."

Restaurants are carefully braced by traders to limit damage caused by the storm.

Vulnerable locations that are easily affected by strong winds are carefully protected and reinforced by traders.

Up to this point, all response work to storm No. 10 at Thien Cam Tourist Area has basically been promptly deployed.

Currently, tourist areas in Ha Tinh are almost deserted. Authorities are still patrolling and controlling, ready to respond to the complicated developments of storm No. 10, putting the safety of residents and tourists first.

At Thach Hai beach (Thach Khe commune), preparations have also been pushed to the highest level. Restaurant and hotel owners have proactively secured glass doors, trees and moved vehicles and boats.

Mr. Nguyen Van Minh, a merchant at Thach Hai beach, said: "We have been closed since yesterday afternoon to focus on storm prevention. Large tarpaulins were used to cover the store. We also supported each other to tie ropes to anchor the kiosks close to the sea. Although we are worried, we have to do our best to minimize damage."

At this time, not only in Thien Cam, Thach Hai but also in other tourist spots and areas in the province such as Xuan Thanh, Ky Ninh, Vung Ang... people are also urgently preparing for storm No. 10.
