Accordingly, on September 16, 2025, Road Management Area IV directed Road Management Office IV.1 to coordinate with Project Management Board 7 to conduct a field survey. Project Management Board 7 and the consulting unit organized a detailed assessment of the current situation, in order to propose a plan to thoroughly handle the erosion situation, avoid recurrence and ensure operational safety along the entire route.
The proactive involvement of road management agencies, along with close coordination with relevant units, shows a high determination in responding to the impact of natural disasters, protecting the safety of people and vehicles participating in traffic.
In recent days, in Lam Dong province (in the old Phan Thiet city area), there has been continuous and prolonged heavy rain, seriously affecting traffic infrastructure.
Notably, on September 13, 2025, at some locations on the highway, serious erosion occurred, posing a potential risk to traffic safety. The recorded erosion points include Km213+750 (P), Km213+850 (P) and some other locations.
Faced with the complex developments of natural disasters, Road Management Area IV and Road Management Office IV.1 are directing maintenance units to urgently inspect and review, and coordinate with the Office, Project Management Board 7 and related units to immediately deploy temporary solutions to ensure traffic safety.
Specifically, at high-risk locations, authorities used soil to temporarily fill the area, combined with pouring reinforced concrete, to prevent further landslides. Thanks to timely handling, vehicles are still guaranteed safe circulation.
