On October 9, at the North Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area (Bai Dai Tourist Area), Khanh Hoa Province, Anex Vietnam Trading and Tourism Company Limited (Anex Vietnam) organized the Workshop "Anex Central Asia - Tropical Sense Workshop in Vietnam 2024".

The workshop is part of a program inviting representatives of 150 leading travel sales agents in Kazakhstan and CIS to survey and experience Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism products from October 5 to October 14.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan - General Director of Anex Vietnam, said that after nearly 4 years of the pandemic and 2 years of being heavily affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the tourist market from Russia to Vietnam in general and Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular is still facing many challenges, and charter flights have not been able to be restored.

However, from October 2022 to present, Anex Vietnam has operated charter flights from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa with a frequency of 5-6 flights/week, bringing the total number of tourists to Vietnam to more than 75,000 (as of August 2024).

“On the momentum of successfully exploiting the market of tourists from Kazakhstan and CIS countries in the past two seasons, with the effort to expand destination promotion and strongly spread the image of Vietnamese tourism, Anex Vietnam has organized to invite representatives of 150 leading sales agents in Kazakhstan and CIS to survey and experience Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa tourism products” - Mr. Nguyen Duc Tan informed.

During the program in Vietnam, the delegation will conduct field surveys of tourism businesses and some new sightseeing and entertainment locations in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa to learn about tourism potentials, build suitable tourism programs and increase the number of visitors from Kazakhstan and CIS countries to Nha Trang.

The highlight of the program is the “Anex Central Asia – Tropical Sense Workshop in Vietnam 2024”, which aims to promote the growth of international visitors to Vietnam and aims to become an annual destination promotion event. Thereby, contributing to strongly promoting the image of Vietnamese tourism, building a sustainable destination for the tourism market of Kazakhstan and CIS countries.

At the workshop, B2B activities took place to create opportunities for hotel partners in the Nha Trang - Phan Thiet - Phu Quoc area to directly introduce their products and services to 150 leading sales agents from Kazakhstan and CIS countries. Thereby, enhancing product recognition and optimizing sales efficiency for the 2024-2025 tourist season and the following years.

Mr. Alex Maximov, representative of Deniz Tour (Kazakhstan), commented that Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa has a wonderful climate, cuisine and coastline. The tourism infrastructure in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa is well-invested and diverse, especially the coastal facilities and resorts in the central area. The prices of tourism services in Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general are also relatively cheap, suitable for the spending level of Kazakhstani tourists.

“Kazakhs love to explore outdoor activities such as diving, visiting surrounding islands and enjoying local cuisine. They have a good impression of the hospitality of local people. However, we still have difficulties with the language and need more information to make it easier to move around and learn about local culture,” said Alex Maximov.

Mr. Bui Quoc Dai - Deputy CEO of Anex Vietnam said that the Russian-speaking community is a potential group of customers in the Vietnamese market in general and Khanh Hoa in particular when their stay is from 7 to more than 10 days for a vacation. This group of customers often choose 3-5 star accommodation facilities.

“Although Russian-speaking countries are very interested in the Vietnamese market, they still face difficulties because there are not many direct flights from their country to Vietnam and Khanh Hoa. Currently, we have about 4-6 flights/week from Kazakhstan to Khanh Hoa and with the addition of other companies, there are 10-12 flights/week. In the near future, we will open more routes to attract more of this group of tourists to Khanh Hoa,” said Mr. Dai.

According to Mr. Dai, after opening more direct flights, to attract this group of visitors, accommodation facilities and destinations need to ensure quality standards to retain visitors, while developing new attractive products. This requires the cooperation of the government, the tourism industry and businesses to promote the markets of Kazakhstan and CIS countries as well as the Russian tourist market.
