Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak connect to develop 'mountain - sea' tours

The combination of 'mountain - sea' tourism products of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces is expected to create rich tourism products imbued with cultural identity.

On October 8, in Khanh Hoa, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces jointly organized a conference to evaluate cooperation results for the 2023-2025 period and sign a new cooperation program for the 2026-2030 period.

According to the cooperation plan, in the coming time, the two provinces will focus on developing the "Nha Trang Sea - Central Highlands Mountains and Forests" joint tour, enhancing destination promotion, training human resources and attracting investment.

Tourism businesses and cooperatives are encouraged to participate in fairs and events in each locality to display and connect products.

However, the transport infrastructure connecting Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces is not yet convenient, transporting tourists is difficult and takes a lot of time, which has affected the cooperation in building tour programs and connecting tourists to the two localities.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province - said that Khanh Hoa is a locality with strengths in sea and island tourism, international-class beach resorts, and diverse and high-quality sea tourism products.

Meanwhile, Dak Lak province has strengths in mountain and forest ecotourism, majestic landscapes with primeval forests with unique ecosystems, especially the world-famous Buon Ma Thuot coffee brand.

Mr. Hoa said that this "mountain - sea" combination is expected to create rich tourism products, imbued with cultural identity. Both provinces are determined to promote inter-regional tourism cooperation, improving the effectiveness of linkages after the arrangement of provincial administrative units.
