Inauguration of Saigon Marina IFC: New heartbeat of Vietnamese finance

(Chinhphu.vn) - At the inauguration ceremony of Saigon Marina IFC on the morning of August 19, 2025, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Founder and Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of HDBank, gave an impressive speech about the significance of the event - the heart of the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center, creating momentum for the development of trade finance, culture and the country's aspirations for international integration.

In her speech, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao recalled the image of Ba Son, a place that marked the industrial and commercial pulse a century ago, to compare with the new pulse today: the pulse of finance, commerce, culture and the aspiration for international integration.

Not only depicting the symbolic meaning of Saigon Marina IFC, a landmark project on the banks of the Saigon River, Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao said that the inauguration of the building also conveys a strong message about the spirit of determination to deeply integrate into the international community, the will for sustainable development and the pioneering role of the private economy in the journey to bring Vietnam into a new era of the nation.

Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao assessed that the project will be a "meeting place" for banks, technology and logistics corporations.

The event was organized by HDBank and the finance and banking sector to inaugurate Saigon Marina IFC. This can be considered the heart of the Ho Chi Minh City International Financial Center. The project will be a "meeting place" for banks, technology and logistics corporations and more than 10,000 experts, along with the launch of the digital banking application Di HDBank and the new generation core banking project.

"At this moment, the past and the present are holding hands and stepping into the future, from the Ba Son workers of the past to the engineers and experts of today. All are connected by a common source: the will and belief in a prosperous Vietnam reaching out to the world ," affirmed Dr. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao.

With a series of key projects of the country such as Long Thanh Hangar, Gia Binh Airport, considered as proof of the resilience of the private economic sector in the spirit of Resolution 68. More than 250 projects started and inaugurated across the country today are the common voice of aspiration, solidarity and Vietnamese mettle.
