The first working delegation was led by Mr. Pham Le Phu, General Director of EVNNPT, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 2 on duty in Quang Tri province.
The second working group was led by Mr. Luu Viet Tien, Deputy General Director, along with leaders of specialized departments and leaders of Power Transmission Company 1 on duty in Nghe An and Ha Tinh .
Assigning two working groups to be on duty and command on-site to quickly and promptly handle any storms that impact the power transmission grid.
According to reports from the units, as of the morning of September 28, all preparations for responding to storm No. 10 have been completed. Currently, 100% of the power line and transformer station staff are on duty at the unit headquarters to be ready to respond when an emergency is called.
At the inspection on the morning of September 28, EVNNPT leaders requested units to concentrate highly and not be subjective and negligent in the face of the complex and unpredictable developments of storm No. 10. At the same time, they should be ready with all human resources, materials, and machinery to immediately handle incidents when electrical safety conditions are met. EVNNPT leaders also especially noted that after the storm passes, there will be a storm circulation that can cause prolonged heavy rain, so during operation, special attention must be paid to the safety of people and equipment.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this is a very fast moving storm (nearly twice the average speed), with strong storm intensity and a wide range of influence, which can cause combined impacts of many types of natural disasters such as strong winds, heavy rains, floods, flash floods, landslides and coastal flooding.
