On October 30 and the morning of October 31, the Dien Bien Provincial Steering Committee directed Muong Ang district to organize a district defense area exercise in 2024.
Attending and directing the exercise were comrades: Lo Van Tien, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the exercise of the defense zone of Dien Bien province; Colonel Le Van Son, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Military Command of Dien Bien province; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, organizations of the province, members of the Steering Committee.
According to the assessment of the Steering Committee for the Defense Area Exercise of Dien Bien province, with a spirit of urgency and high responsibility, the 2024 Defense Area Exercise of Muong Ang district was a great success, and was assessed by the Steering Committee as an excellent completion with 9.5 points, ensuring the motto "Comprehensive, practical, quality, effective and absolutely safe". The process of handling the A2 situation closely followed the principles, chose the right opportunity, and acted urgently; the commander's actions demonstrated determination, flexibility, grasping the opportunity, and organizing the use of forces appropriately.
In particular, during the actual combat shooting, the local military agency organized and closely commanded the shooting phases, destroying all assigned targets; ensuring absolute safety of people, weapons, and technical equipment; clearly demonstrating the characteristics of the method of coordination of the district's reserve force with the commune's mobile militia in practicing attacking the enemy temporarily defending in mountainous terrain.
Through the exercise, it has contributed to raising awareness among cadres, party members and people about the plots and tricks of hostile forces against the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, about the Party's leadership mechanism, the government's management and the role of staff, coordination in organizing and implementing tasks of the armed forces, departments, organizations and forces when moving localities into national defense states.
In his closing speech, Mr. Lo Van Tien, Vice Chairman of Dien Bien Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Defense Zone Exercise Steering Committee, requested that in the coming time, Muong Ang district should focus on performing well a number of tasks: Thoroughly grasp and seriously implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Conclusion No. 64-KL/TW dated January 30, 2019 of the Politburo on promoting the implementation of Resolution of the 8th Central Committee (11th Term) on "Strategy for protecting the Fatherland in the new situation"; Resolution No. 28-NQ/TW dated September 22, 2008 of the Politburo on continuing to build centrally-run provinces and cities into solid defense zones...
Regularly pay attention to building the all-people national defense, associated with building the people's security posture, focusing on building a solid district defense area, proactively preventing and resolutely fighting to defeat the "Peaceful evolution" and violent overthrow plots of hostile forces.
Proactively grasp the political security situation - social order and safety, handle and resolve arising issues right at the grassroots level, resolutely not allowing them to become "hot spots" of security and order.
