
The five citizens who were awarded include: Mr. Vang A Lu (militia of Sin Chai village), Mr. Ma A Vang (militia of Cat Cat village), Mr. Giang A Du (militia of Y Linh Ho village), Mr. Lo Van Tam (militia of Ta Van Giay 2 village) and Mr. Vang A Di (security and order protection force of Sin Chai village).
In dangerous stormy weather conditions, these citizens coordinated with authorities to search through the forest and bring the two tourists back safely.

The timely reward shows recognition of the pioneering and brave spirit, and at the same time spreads the beautiful image of the friendly, hospitable and compassionate Ta Van people, affirming the locality's proactiveness in natural disaster prevention and search and rescue work.
Previously, at around 7:00 p.m. on September 28, the People's Committee of Ta Van Commune received a report from the Commune Police about two German tourists, Mr. Moritz Wolfram (born in 1989) and Ms. Kathrin Sophie (born in 1994), getting lost in the forest of Hoang Lien National Park. The Commune People's Committee mobilized the Police and military forces to coordinate with the Hoang Lien National Park Forest Protection Department to urgently deploy a search plan.
At about 11:00 a.m. on September 29, rescuers found two tourists. guests in the forest area of Sin Chai village, Ta Van commune and brought them back safely.
