No candidate is strong enough for the golden bell

After three final round competitions in September, the three contestants entering the final ranking night on the evening of September 28 are Le Thi Ha Nhu, Dang Thi Thuy Duong and Vuong Quan Tri.

In recent Golden Bell seasons, there were contestants that the audience had placed their trust in right from the first rounds.

Therefore, in the final night, their winning the golden bell created great excitement and consensus in the television theater audience such as Golden Bell of Traditional Opera 2023 Nguyen Thi Nhu Y, Golden Bell of Traditional Opera 2024 Le Hoang Nghi.

However, this year's Golden Bell award has left many people confused because no one has shown enough strength to reach the golden bell.

In the final round, through each competition night with the guidance and training of the coaches, their abilities gradually became clearer but still did not see the boost from any one factor.

The best singer was Nguyen Tan Dat, but he made a technical mistake that people could only explain as... bad luck, so he had to stop at the second final night.

Among the three contestants in the important competition night, Dang Thi Thuy Duong is considered to have experience competing in Golden Bell of Traditional Music, in previous seasons she made it to the final ranking round.

Duong was assessed to have acting ability, suitable for playing character roles, but the judges said that Duong's singing voice is still limited, she needs to study to sing vọng cổ more expressively.

Vuong Quan Tri is the youngest contestant in the contest, has a clear voice but unstable performance and unsophisticated singing technique.

Both Tri and Le Thi Ha Nhu have potential but need more time to practice. Because sometimes their breath is not steady, their singing is still shaky, not enough to create smoothness and softness in the vọng cổ verses, especially the can singing and chong singing sections.

On the third competition night, when it was necessary to combine singing and acting in the script " The Durian Leaf", Quan Tri showed a lack of breath and could not portray the character Sang well.

20 years of Golden Bell of Traditional Music

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Golden Bell of Traditional Music since the first season in 2006. The station has made a large investment in the organization.

The competition changed the format of the selection round, with contestants participating in many social activities such as visiting navy soldiers, visiting elderly artists at Thi Nghe Nursing Center, visiting artists who have made great contributions to the Golden Bell such as Minh Vuong, Thanh Tuan, musician Hoang Thanh...

Accompanying the Golden Bell of Traditional Music is the Alluvial Sound program taking place in Hanoi, An Giang, Bac Lieu , Ho Chi Minh City, the Golden Bell of Traditional Music gala taking place at Nguyen Hue walking street...

There have also been major changes to the judges, especially the brand new coaching panel consisting of Ho Ngoc Trinh, Vo Minh Lam and Ngoc Doi. The judges for each final night are more powerful.

In addition to the three main judges Thanh Nam and Phuong Loan, Trong Phuc also added two guest judges.

If in previous years the contestants who won the Golden Bell of Traditional Music only received a prize worth 100 million VND, this year it has been increased to 150 million VND. All of this creates good conditions for a memorable season 20. It is just a pity that the most important factor, the quality of the contestants, is not as expected.

Among the three finalists, Le Thi Ha Nhu is dominating with the highest scores in two nights. Who will reach the golden bell is still a mystery. The contestant who is in good health, mentally stable and knows her lesson well on the night of September 28 will have a higher chance of winning the golden bell.

The Golden Bell Award is a good opportunity for candidates to realize their dream of becoming a Cai Luong artist. But the most important thing is that they recognize their own shortcomings, strive to overcome them, learn more to be able to go further in the future, and prove that the Golden Bell they receive is worthy.

In the final ranking night, three contestants will perform excerpts of cải lương with their coaches and guest artists. Then they will draw lots and perform a vọng cổ song.

According to the draw, contestant Le Thi Ha Nhu was coached by Vo Minh Lam, Ngoc Doi guided Dang Thi Thuy Duong, and Vuong Quan Tri was on Ho Ngoc Trinh's team.
