According to Thanh Nien Newspaper reporters, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training is in the process of developing and completing the plan to submit to the City People's Committee for approval of the enrollment plan for the first grade of the 2024-2025 school year, including enrollment for grades 1, 6 and 10.

The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the implementation of enrollment for grades 1, 6 and 10 will remain stable as in the previous school year. Specifically, students will register for enrollment online, applying GIS maps in the zoning of grades 1 and 6 to ensure that students study at schools near their homes.

Regarding 10th grade admission, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training has provided information on maintaining the same admission form and exam orientation as the 2023-2024 school year. Accordingly, students will have 3 priority wishes to register for regular 10th grade.

This year, 9th grade students in Ho Chi Minh City have 3 wishes to register for regular 10th grade, 2 wishes to register for specialized schools and specialized classes.

In addition, due to the 2024-2025 school year, according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, there will be no more regular classes in specialized schools, so the enrollment of 10th grade students in Le Hong Phong specialized schools, Tran Dai Nghia specialized schools and specialized classes of Nguyen Thuong Hien, Gia Dinh, Nguyen Huu Huan, and Mac Dinh Chi high schools is of interest to parents.

According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, in previous school years, students had 4 wishes to register for specialized schools and classes. Of which, wishes 1 and 2 were for specialized classes at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted, Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted and specialized classes at Nguyen Thuong Hien, Gia Dinh, Nguyen Huu Huan, Mac Dinh Chi High Schools; wishes 3 and 4 were for non-specialized classes at Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted and Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted.

Thus, according to the regulations, this year there are no more regular classes in specialized schools, so it is expected that students can register 2 admission wishes for specialized grade 10 at 6 specialized schools, schools with specialized classes mentioned above. Therefore, if a candidate registers for both specialized schools and regular schools, this year there will be a maximum of 5 wishes.
