In recent years, specialized schools in Ca Mau have played a good role in training and nurturing talents for the homeland and country.

At present, specialized schools in Ca Mau have been preparing conditions to implement innovation in the specialized school model in the spirit of Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthrough in the development of Education and Training and Resolution 281/NQ-CP of the Government on the Action Program to implement Resolution 71-NQ/TW.

According to Mr. Le Chi Nguyen, Principal of Phan Ngoc Hien High School for the Gifted (An Xuyen Ward), Resolution 71 of the Politburo and Resolution 281 of the Government are fundamental Resolutions, creating a foundation for long-term comprehensive development in the field of Education and Training, in which the Resolutions have breathed new life into the specialized school system.

However, to achieve this goal, specialized schools need to ensure three core factors: human resources, material resources and communication work.

Regarding human resources, the school must prepare a team of teachers with sufficient quantity, solid expertise, dynamism, readiness to innovate, knowing how to apply technology and change thinking in teaching.

In terms of material resources, there needs to be synchronous investment in facilities and equipment for teaching and learning, especially technology, digital transformation, laboratories and research facilities.

At the same time, it is necessary to strengthen communication so that parents and students can promptly grasp new majors and specialized classes; at the same time, closely coordinate with schools in education and training orientation, contributing to nurturing talents.

Mr. Duong Binh, Principal of Bac Lieu Specialized High School (Bac Lieu Ward) said that the current specialized school model is not outdated but needs to be innovated to suit the development trend of modern education.

To meet the innovation according to Resolution 71, in addition to efforts and promoting internal resources, specialized schools are supported by the education sector and authorities at all levels with 4 core issues:

Expanding the scale and improving the input quality of students in specialized high schools: Admission to specialized high schools is carried out in an appropriate, creative and innovative manner in the direction of correctly assessing students' abilities. Creating the best conditions to select excellent students from the whole province after graduating from junior high school to study at specialized high schools. Opening more specialized classes suitable to the actual conditions of the school's staff, facilities and the learning needs of the people.

Developing the team of managers, teachers and staff: Recruiting to ensure enough teachers and staff according to the prescribed standards; recruiting excellent and good graduates of regular university programs who have won third prizes or higher at the national level in cultural, scientific and technical subjects; giving priority to bilingual students or students with international foreign language proficiency certificates. Screening and rotating teachers who do not meet the requirements to teach specialized classes. Improving the quality of teachers, meeting the requirements of training excellent students at the national, international and integration levels.

Investing in purchasing synchronous, advanced, modern equipment according to the smart school model, serving the teaching of teachers and the learning of students. Investing in teaching equipment for STEM classrooms, art classrooms; modern equipment for IT and foreign language rooms to ensure meeting the requirements of training and testing according to international standards...

Develop specific mechanisms and policies for teachers and students of specialized high schools: Regulate a number of specific policies on funding for training excellent students, inviting experts to train, and exchanging expertise... for specialized high schools; policies for students participating in the province's official team to participate in the exam to select excellent students and science and technology competitions at the national, regional, and international levels in the period 2025 - 2030.
