The first speech of "AI Minister" Diella turned the Albanian Parliament session into a chaotic scene, as MPs threw water bottles and the constitution in protest at the presence of a "non-human" figure.

According to RT News Agency (Russia), a National Assembly session in Albania fell into chaos after a speech by Diella - the newly appointed Minister of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

In a three-minute speech shown on two large screens in the hall, Minister Diella asserted that his role is to support people, not replace them:

“I am not here to replace people, but to support them. I have no nationality, no ambition, no personal interests, but I can represent the same values ​​as a human colleague – even more rigorously.”

However, these statements did not calm the wave of protests from opposition MPs. They argued that the presence of a non-human minister was unconstitutional, because Diella did not have Albanian nationality, did not have a human body, and could open the way for increased corruption.

In response, Minister Diella cited the Albanian constitution, saying that it provides for "institutions at the service of the people", not "chromosomes or flesh and blood", and emphasizes core values ​​such as transparency, responsibility and public ethics rather than background.

However, tensions continued to escalate. The meeting quickly spiraled out of control as lawmakers banged on tables, threw water bottles and even threw copies of the constitution. The session was forced to end after just 24 minutes, despite the presence of many international diplomats in the room.

Diella – whose name means “sunshine” in Albanian – is the world’s first AI minister. Integrated into the national digital services platform, Diella is tasked with overseeing all public tenders and procurement.

According to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, Diella's appointment is a symbol of the government's efforts for innovation and commitment to transparency.

This initiative is expected to open a new era in public governance, where AI technology becomes a powerful tool to prevent corruption and improve monitoring efficiency.
