On the morning of May 14, Major General Tran Anh Du, Deputy Commander of Military Region 2, and the military region's working delegation conducted a "3-explosion" test for new soldiers at Regiment 254, Lao Cai Provincial Military Command.
In 2024, Regiment 254 organized training for 300 new soldiers from 6 districts and cities in the province. After 3 months of training, the new soldiers had basically mastered AK shooting techniques, grenade throwing techniques, explosives techniques, etc. At the inspection session, military training department officers directly went to each target to monitor and inspect as a basis for commenting and evaluating the results of the training of new soldiers of Regiment 254.

Through inspection, it was found that Regiment 254 organized training contents in accordance with the approved training plan and schedule; strictly organized stages and steps, maintained strict training order and regime, and the number of troops participating in training reached 100%; agencies and units did a good job of preparing training grounds, training grounds, model teaching aids, target boards, and training equipment.

Before entering training, 100% of the new soldier training staff participated in phase 1 training, ensuring 100% of the training staff were trained according to their level; combining training with physical training, discipline, and regular building. The results of the political and logistics tests were excellent, shooting training was fair, grenade throwing and explosives were excellent, ensuring absolute safety for people and weapons.
