The program, chaired by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , is organized annually for Vietnamese youth and students abroad from July 13-26 with activities spanning three regions of the country.

Participating in the Summer Camp are overseas Vietnamese youth with outstanding achievements in study, sports , and active participation in youth and community movements.

This is not only a playground for overseas Vietnamese young generation representatives to explore the beauty of their homeland and strengthen solidarity with the young generation at home, but above all, it is also an environment to educate about the patriotic and humanitarian traditions of the Vietnamese people.

At the beginning of the Vietnam Summer Camp program, at Ben Nha Rong, 110 young overseas Vietnamese offered incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, observed a moment of silence, and expressed deep gratitude for his contributions and selfless sacrifices for the people and the country.

The group of young overseas Vietnamese entered the Ho Chi Minh Museum to listen to the explanation about the life and career of the beloved leader of the nation. It is known that this is not only the place marking the event of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to find a way to save the country, but also a symbol of patriotism, self-reliance and the desire for independence and freedom of the nation.

Sharing with TG&VN , Ha Vu Le Duyen (19 years old), currently studying and living in Frankfurt (Germany), said: “I registered to participate in the Summer Camp to learn more about the country, people and history of Vietnam, because the previous times I only visited my family and had little opportunity to learn more. I also hope to meet and interact with young Vietnamese and international friends like me.”

Duyen also shared: “I watched the program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country on TV and was very moved when I saw a distant relative of mine appear in the audience. That moment made me even more proud and urged me to register to participate in the Vietnam Summer Camp 2025.”

Continuing the program, the group of overseas Vietnamese youth and students visited the Independence Palace National Monument. Here, the group visited, listened to explanations and learned about the historical period of the national liberation struggle, the moment of national reunification in 1975.

Coming to the War Remnants Museum, delegates were able to see artifacts and documentary images about the Vietnam wars, thereby deeply feeling the losses and sacrifices of our people in the process of gaining independence and freedom.

Unable to hide his emotions when visiting the Independence Palace for the first time, Le Minh Khoi (16 years old), currently studying and living in the UK, shared: “Although I had heard stories from my parents and seen them on the news, the emotions when I witnessed the relic with my own eyes were still hard to describe. I watched a documentary about the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, and saw with my own eyes the two tanks that crashed into the Independence Palace gate in 1975… I was really proud and moved.”

Through the journey of learning at historical sites such as the Independence Palace, young overseas Vietnamese were able to review major milestones in the struggle for national independence, and better understand the value of peace and the responsibility to preserve traditions.
