High School Graduation Exam 2025: Nearly 9,800 candidates skip exam registration procedures

The Ministry of Education and Training has just reported on the date for completing procedures for the 2025 high school graduation exam. On the morning of June 26, candidates will take the first exam with the Literature subject.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training , the total number of candidates registered to take the high school graduation exam in 2025 is 1,162,134 (of which, candidates taking the exam according to the 2006 General Education Program are 24,951; the remaining 1,135,432 candidates taking the exam according to the 2018 General Education Program.

On the afternoon of June 25, the total number of candidates who came to complete the exam procedures was 1,152,336, reaching a rate of 99.16%. There were 9,798 candidates who did not come to complete the high school graduation exam procedures.

Specifically, the number of candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program completing procedures was 22,140, ​​reaching a rate of 88.73%.

The number of candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program who have completed the procedures is 1,130,196, reaching a rate of 99.54%. On the morning of June 26, candidates will enter the first exam session with the Literature subject.

The 2025 high school graduation exam will be held on June 25, 26, 27, and 28, 2025. June 25 is for exam registration procedures; June 26 and 27 is for the exam; and June 28 is for backup.

From 2025, candidates studying the 2018 General Education Program will take the high school graduation exam with 4 subjects: 2 compulsory subjects (Literature, Mathematics) and 2 elective subjects from grade 12 subjects (Foreign Language, History, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Economic & Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology).

Candidates take the exam in 3 sessions: 1 session of Literature, 1 session of Math, 1 session for 2 elective subjects.

Literature exam is 120 minutes essay (Reading 4 points, Writing 6 points); Math is multiple choice 90 minutes; the remaining subjects are multiple choice 50 minutes.
