Ea Hiao Commune (new) was officially established on the basis of merging two communes Ea Sol and Ea Hiao (old Ea H'leo district), the administrative center is located at the headquarters of the People's Committee of Ea Sol Commune (old). Accordingly, the new commune owns an area of ​​361.69 km², with a population of more than 30,796 people, including 13 ethnic groups living together, of which ethnic minorities account for over 60%. Large in scale, especially diverse in culture and society, Ea Hiao commune promises to enter a new period full of opportunities and challenges.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ea Hiao Commune Party Committee, said that Ea Sol Commune and the old Ea Hiao Commune already had many similarities in terms of geography, economy , customs, and culture. The merger is not only a consolidation of administrative units but also a convergence and continuation of community values, creating a premise for a new management method that is closer to the people, closer to the grassroots, and better serves practical needs.

In particular, in the context of the local government model being converted from three levels (province - district - commune) to two levels (province - commune), the tasks set for the commune level are enormous. The new Ea Hiao commune apparatus must quickly stabilize its organization, assign appropriate staff, and rearrange its facilities to ensure smooth operations. The commune's public administration service center has been operating smoothly, ensuring that people in this remote commune do not have their administrative procedures and essential public services interrupted.

We will do our best, together with the collective of cadres and people to build a streamlined, effective and efficient apparatus, for the sustainable development of the locality."

From early morning, village elder Ksor Cheo in Pech village was present at the Commune Culture and Sports Center. He shared: “I am very excited about the historic moment of merging commune levels and implementing the two-level government model. I have and will continue to propagate and mobilize people not to listen to or believe in the incitements and instigation of hostile forces. People must believe in the leadership of the Party, the management of the new government, work hard, and develop the socio-economy in their homeland.”

Once a revolutionary base during the resistance war, Ea Hiao today continues to affirm its position as a “good land” for building a new government. The consensus and solidarity among the people will be a strong internal resource for Ea Hiao to overcome the initial challenges and move forward firmly on the journey of innovation.
