This afternoon (July 22), the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial Journalists Association to hold a conference to review press activities in the first 6 months of 2025. Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission chaired the conference.

Attending the Conference were representatives of leaders and specialized departments of: Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Provincial Journalists Association; Lai Chau Newspaper, Radio and Television; Provincial Literature and Arts Association; Provincial People's Committee Office and agencies with provincial press publications; representatives of central press agencies residing in the province...

In the first 6 months of 2025, state management of the press sector was carried out promptly, comprehensively, seriously and in accordance with regulations. Agencies and units actively coordinated to provide information so that the press could have materials to create high-quality works. The coordination in processing information and resolving issues reported by the press became increasingly smooth, tight and effective.

Press activities in the province continue to affirm their role as an essential information channel, effectively accompanying the process of implementing political tasks, socio-economic development and strengthening people's trust. Press agencies in the province have been proactive, closely following the direction of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, promptly and fully reflecting outstanding current events and politics; notably propagating the implementation of Resolution 6 of the Central Committee (13th tenure) on streamlining the apparatus, operating the two-level local government model, key tasks in the current period.

In the context of increasing demand for information, press agencies have constantly innovated content and forms of expression. From print newspapers, television to digital platforms, all have been promoted, effectively spreading information to all classes of people. Lai Chau Newspaper, Radio and Television has 845 news, articles, photos, videos , and reports; the Provincial Electronic Information Portal posted 607 news, articles, photos, and reports; the Provincial External Information Portal propagated 234 news, articles, etc.

In particular, the coordination between management agencies, departments, branches, localities and press agencies is increasingly proactive and close, helping the press to quickly and accurately access official information sources, while increasing the effectiveness of handling issues of public and press interest.

At the Conference, delegates expressed their opinions focusing on the following contents: Advantages and difficulties in the process of merging the province's press agencies; the role of the press in propagating the results of operating the 2-level local government model; propaganda work for Party Congresses at all levels; training for commune-level officials on how to speak for the press; propaganda about policies; promoting digital transformation in the press; preparing for the Provincial Journalists Association Congress...

Concluding the Conference, Comrade Dao Thi Thanh Nhan - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and the continuous efforts of the press team in the province in recent times, especially in propaganda to serve the province's key tasks.
