According to a survey of online deposit interest rates at commercial banks, the highest deposit interest rate applied to 12-month term deposits is 6%/year announced by ABBank.

ABBank also only listed an interest rate of 6%/year for a 12-month term, and is the only bank applying this interest rate for a 12-month term.

In addition to ABBank, the group of banks leading in 12-month term deposit interest rates also includes BaoViet Bank, BVBank and Saigonbank. All three banks are listing interest rates of up to 5.8%/year for 12-month term deposits.

Meanwhile, Bac A Bank and GPBank apply an interest rate of 5.75%/year for this term deposit, 0.05%/year higher than the interest rate for the same term at NCB and CBBank. KienLong Bank and VietBank list at 5.6%/year.

It can be seen that interest rates of 5% or more almost cover the 12-month term at banks. Up to now, there are only a few banks listing 12-month term interest rates below 5%/year.

These are Techcombank with an interest rate of 4.95%/year (the lowest rate for deposit accounts under 1 billion VND);ACB pays an interest rate of 4.8%/year; Agribank, BIDV and VietinBank 4.7%/year; Vietcombank 4.6%/year and SCB pays the lowest interest rate, only 3.7%/year.

On the contrary, SeABank is the only bank that has reduced deposit interest rates since the beginning of the month.
