Cases of severe damage are being reviewed and will be given priority for processing and advance payment as soon as possible.
As soon as the storm information was received, BSH Insurance activated a rapid response mechanism: surveyors were present at the scene, providing online support in isolated areas, while the hotline 1900 9696 09 was available 24/7 to receive loss reports, accompanying customers in the middle of the storm. The company also set up an emergency task force to promptly support customers. BSH Insurance surveyors braved the storm and were present in areas affected by storm No. 10 - Bualoi such as Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Ninh Binh, Hanoi ... to record damage, support people in declaring losses and making initial recovery.
For the Assets - Engineering - Maritime sector, BSH appraisers focused on inspecting affected factories, constructions and technical systems. Many appraisal teams directly coordinated with local authorities and business owners to review each damaged item such as blown-off roofs, flooded machinery lines, cracked walls due to landslides, etc. Files with serious damage were prioritized for quick completion so that customers could soon have a basis to restore production.
For motor vehicles, the recent rainy and stormy days have recorded many losses mainly due to flooding, in which the emergency factor is always put first. BSH appraisers not only quickly arrived at the scene to check the engine, take pictures of the damaged details and directly advise customers on how to handle them safely, but also coordinated with the rescue force to urgently remove a series of vehicles from the flooded area in a race against time, and with rescue units to dismantle, record the damage, and handle the electrical system to limit the spread of damage...
In Hanoi, as of noon on October 1, in the An Khanh area alone, many vehicles had reported damage, but the appraisal team had not yet been able to reach the scene and it is expected that it will take a few days before the vehicles can be removed.
Mr. Vu Van Hoang, Deputy Head of BSH Compensation Assessment Department, said: “Many areas in Ha Tinh and Nghe An were isolated by floods, making it extremely difficult to access the scene. In some places, it took the team 2-3 hours to get there, and they even had to walk. From September 29 to 10:00 a.m. on October 1, 2025, the number of calls to BSH Insurance's hotline 1900 9696 09 increased. BSH received more than 3,000 continuous calls from customers across the provinces. Most of the calls received by BSH were reports of damage to motor vehicles, property, and houses due to flooding. In addition, there were also many calls asking for on-site instructions on how to handle emergencies, such as needing to rescue a flooded car, or needing to know the procedure for reporting when documents are wet or damaged.
