This morning (October 13), the Department of Physical Training and Sports in coordination with the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province and NovaGroup Corporation organized the National Tennis Championship - NovaWorld Cup 2025 to celebrate the success of the 1st Congress of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030 and celebrate Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day October 13.
The National Tennis Championship - NovaWorld Cup 2025 will take place from October 13-19, 2025 at the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Tennis Court Complex. This year's tournament brings together more than 100 professional tennis players from 14 strong units and clubs nationwide, promising to bring eye-catching and emotional matches.
Accordingly, the athletes will compete in 5 categories: Men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. The focus of attention belongs to familiar names such as Vu Ha Minh Duc (AP Sports Club, the reigning men's singles champion); Nguyen Van Phuong (Army) and talented young players such as Nguyen Dai Khanh (HCMC), Le Tien Anh (Army), Ngo Hong Hanh (Army), Nguyen Thi Mai Linh ( Hanoi )...
Vietnam's No. 1 tennis player Vu Ha Minh Duc shared: "I came to this year's tournament with a fighting spirit and determination to defend the championship title. More importantly, I want to continue to contribute beautiful matches to the fans and look forward to the 33rd SEA Games in December 2025 in Thailand with the Vietnamese team."
The National Tennis Championship - NovaWorld Cup 2025 is an important event to select athletes representing Vietnam to participate in the SEA Games. The tournament is held at NovaWorld International Tennis Complex - an international standard tennis court system including 14 Laykold courts, 4 mobile roof courts and a modern clubhouse, invested according to international standards.
With a total prize value of up to 500 million VND, the tournament promises to explode with eye-catching football moves, noble competitive spirit and passionate sporting atmosphere amidst the blue sea and golden sunshine of NovaWorld Phan Thiet.
“New capital” of tennis in Vietnam and Southeast Asia
In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee expressed his joy and honor when Lam Dong province was chosen as the host of the national tournament. This is not only an important sporting event but also a milestone in the local sustainable sports and tourism development strategy.
"Today's tournament not only has professional significance for Vietnam's high-performance sports, but is also an important milestone for Lam Dong province after merging with Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, opening a new development phase with a vision of regional connectivity, aiming to build Lam Dong into a center of tourism - sports - culture - resort of the South Central region and the extended Central Highlands", the Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee emphasized.
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Son - Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, this is the most professional and important tournament in the national competition system, gathering many excellent tennis players from all provinces and cities across the country.
Mr. Son said that organizing major tournaments not only aims to enhance the position of Vietnamese tennis but also contributes to stimulating tourism and service development, promoting the image of Lam Dong to the world. "The Tennis Federation is committed to accompanying Lam Dong and NovaWorld Phan Thiet to build this place into a new capital of tennis in Vietnam and Southeast Asia," the Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation emphasized.
“NovaGroup is honored to accompany VTF to organize 8 national and international professional tournaments in the fourth quarter of 2025.
