Urgently change the purpose of forest use to serve Tan Phu - Lien Khuong expressway

On the morning of October 15, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai chaired a meeting with leaders of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, Project Management Board No. 1 and other departments, branches and sectors on issues related to the conversion of forest and forest land use purposes for the two expressway projects Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong.

The meeting focused on speeding up progress, completing procedures and assigning responsibilities in changing the purpose of using forests and forest land, and handing over the land for these two expressways.

The two expressway projects Tan Phu - Bao Loc and Bao Loc - Lien Khuong are component projects of the Dau Giay - Lien Khuong expressway, with a total length of more than 200 km.

The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway project has a route passing through 104 hectares of production forest. The conversion of forest use purposes is necessary to develop key transport infrastructure, connect the Southeast region with the Central Highlands, promote regional connectivity, attract investment, develop tourism, logistics, high-tech agriculture, improve people's lives and create momentum for socio -economic development of the locality and region.

Regarding the content of forest land transfer, forest exploitation plan, forest product exploitation, forest compensation, he also requested the Department of Agriculture and Environment to guide forest owners to implement and urge units to effectively implement assigned tasks.

Representatives of the Provincial People's Committee, Department of Construction and Construction Investment Project Management Board No. 1 attended the meeting.

The comrade assigned the Department of Finance to advise on advance payment for replacement forest planting, guide the arrangement of funds for the two forest owners to develop a forest exploitation plan and assigned the Department of Construction to be responsible for urging the completion of stake planting and handing over of land acquisition and clearance markers, to be completed by October 20, 2025.

The Tan Phu - Bao Loc Expressway project is expected to start construction on December 19, 2025. The Bao Loc - Lien Khuong section started construction at the end of June 2025. However, due to the incomplete handover of the clean site, the investor has not yet organized construction.
