Lam Dong: Temporarily suspends the Principal of Trung Vuong Primary School over the "dirty" food scandal

On the morning of September 25, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat (Lam Dong Province) announced that it had decided to temporarily suspend Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga, Principal of Trung Vuong Primary School, from work due to not performing her assigned duties and responsibilities.

The period of temporary suspension from work is 15 working days, from September 24, 2025.

In addition, the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat also deployed decisions and inspection plans when there were signs of violations against the Party Cell of Trung Vuong Primary School, Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat.

During the temporary suspension of Ms. Nguyen Thai Quynh Nga, the People's Committee of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat assigned Mr. Nguyen Vinh Hien, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Xuan Huong Ward - Da Lat, to be in charge of Trung Vuong Primary School.

Regarding this incident, in recent days, a petition has appeared on social networks accusing the Principal of Trung Vuong Primary School of contracting to bring "dirty" food into the boarding school kitchen during the 2024-2025 school year.

Trung Vuong Primary School then announced that it would temporarily suspend boarding meals from September 22 because suppliers had stopped delivering food, leaving the school without an alternative source.

The case is currently being verified and investigated by Lam Dong Provincial Police.

Lam Dong Province's Food Safety and Hygiene Department has established four teams to conduct surprise inspections of food safety at school kitchens in the province. According to Lam Dong Province's Department of Health , currently, at some schools in the province, there are many stalls and carts selling food of unknown origin (such as mixed rice paper, milk tea, colored soft drinks, etc.) in front of school gates.
