On the evening of July 23, Mr. Nguyen Canh Viet, Deputy Director in charge of Hai Chau Regional Medical Center (Da Nang City), said that the unit had sent a document to the City Department of Health and Hai Chau Ward Police to coordinate in verifying the incident in which people reported being guided to a grocery store opposite the center for a "health check-up", then losing more money without explanation.
Accordingly, on the morning of the same day (July 23), social networks spread a video clip recording a scene of a girl going to Hai Chau Regional Medical Center for a health check-up to supplement her job application.

According to the clip, the girl went to the medical center to have a medical examination to supplement her job application. However, the security guard there said "we don't do medical examinations here", then pointed to the address 38 Cao Thang, where the Hai Chau Regional Medical Center is located.
Here, a person claiming to be an employee continued to guide her to the "opposite clinic" at 39 Cao Thang, which is actually a grocery store.
When passing by the grocery store, a woman who called herself Dung asked for general health information such as height, weight, eye degree... then filled out a form with numbers "better than reality". After that, this woman took the girl to a clinic about 400 meters away to do blood and urine tests. The total cost collected was 300,000 VND.
While waiting, she discovered that other people were only charged 100,000 VND for the same procedure. Realizing that she had been "overcharged" 200,000 VND, the girl returned to the grocery store to ask for her money back, but the woman there only paid 50,000 VND and said: "I do this service to make it faster for you... I have to pay a lot of people!".
After the clip went viral online, it received hundreds of shares and thousands of comments, mostly criticizing the behavior of touts taking advantage of patients.
"There is no policy or agreement, association with private clinics"
Mr. Nguyen Canh Viet said that Hai Chau Regional Medical Center received information on social networks about the health examination of a female TikToker. He also affirmed that Hai Chau Regional Medical Center has no policy or agreement, or association with any private clinic or individual outside in health examination for job applications.
It is not part of the unit's official reception procedure for staff or people in security uniforms to "guide" the patient to the opposite address or to an unclear facility.
In addition, the center has reviewed the entire internal affairs, working with the security department, patient reception and health examination team. If any individual is found to have signs of collusion or aiding in profiteering behavior, the unit will strictly handle it according to the law and internal regulations of the agency.
Mr. Nguyen Canh Viet also said that Hai Chau Regional Medical Center also requested the authorities to verify and clarify the incident, prevent the situation of impersonating medical staff for profit, causing public confusion and affecting the collective reputation of the unit's staff.
According to the announcement of the Da Nang City Department of Health, Hai Chau Regional Medical Center is only qualified to conduct medical examinations for drivers without foreign elements. People who need to be examined must go to the official reception counter on the first floor of the medical examination area, not contact with strangers and not follow the instructions of people who do not wear name tags or medical uniforms.
The cost of health check-ups at the center is publicly listed according to regulations. People can refer to the price list at the counter or contact the hotline for accurate advice.
