Ms. Hilde Solbakken thanked the provincial leaders for their welcome and affirmed that the relationship between Vietnam and Norway will become increasingly stronger when strengthening economic cooperation. The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Vietnam shared about the development of the maritime economy in Norway in recent times, especially in the field of offshore wind power, and emphasized some similarities between the two countries and said that with their existing capacity and experience, Norwegian businesses and investors will be suitable partners to support the development of offshore wind power in Ninh Thuan .

At the meeting, the representative of Equinor Energy Group (Norway) introduced its capacity and experience in investing in the energy sector, constructing offshore projects to develop offshore wind farms in many countries. Currently, Equinor Energy Group, in a joint venture with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, wishes to survey the development of offshore wind power in Ninh Thuan.
Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the spirit of friendship and cooperation between Norway and Vietnam, thereby thanking the delegation for their attention to visit and work to explore investment opportunities in Ninh Thuan. This is an opportunity for cooperation in the marine economy of Norway and Vietnam, especially between Equinor Energy Group and Vietnam Oil and Gas Group in implementing offshore wind power, in which Ninh Thuan province has a lot of potential. Especially after the National Power Development Plan for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, which has just been approved by the Prime Minister, has opened up a direction for strong development of offshore wind power combined with renewable energy types to produce new energy (hydrogen, green ammonia, etc.) to serve domestic needs and export. The province hopes that the delegation will support the province in promoting Norwegian investors to Ninh Thuan, cooperating in investment and sharing experiences in developing green energy, especially offshore wind power, as well as investing in seaports, logistics... which are areas where Norway has strengths. The province will apply investment attraction policies to ensure the best benefits, the most convenient and simplest administrative procedures for investors with investment projects in the province.
