During the visit and working session in Korea, the delegation of Lao Cai province led by Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh had a working session with Veterans Busan Hospital - Korea on cooperation between Veterans Busan Hospital and Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh and members of the working delegation worked with leaders of Busan Veterans Hospital.

Also attending were leaders of the Provincial People's Committee Office; Department of Health , leaders and staff of Lao Cai Provincial General Hospital No. 1.

Receiving and working with the delegation of Lao Cai province were Professor Jeong Zoo Lee, Director of Busan Veterans Hospital; comrades in the Hospital Board of Directors, and leaders of the centers under the Hospital.

Since 2022, the cooperation between Busan Veterans Hospital and Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 has achieved many important results. Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 has sent 16 doctors and nurses to study and exchange experiences at Busan Veterans Hospital.

The two hospitals regularly share experiences in human resource management, medical equipment and organize study tours.

This has helped Lao Cai General Hospital No. 1 improve its professional capacity, access advanced, modern and effective medical methods and equipment; especially access to the professional working methods of Korean doctors and medical staff.

At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh briefly introduced the characteristics and situation of Lao Cai province and medical examination and treatment work in the province.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Thi Hien Hanh hopes that in the period of 2026 - 2030, the two hospitals will continue to expand and enhance cooperation in many specialized fields, which are the strengths of Busan Veterans Hospital (such as: interventional cardiology, rehabilitation, orthopedics, cancer diagnosis and treatment, nursing); promote training, technology transfer; implement scientific research programs and seminars, share experiences, to improve the quality of medical services, hospital management capacity and comprehensive patient care, better meet the people's health care needs.

In Vietnam, Veterans Hospital Busan signed a cooperation agreement with Saint Paul Hospital in 2019, Yen Bai Provincial General Hospital (old) in September 2022, with cooperation contents on: exchange of advanced medical technology and medical information; coordination in organizing medical research, academic seminars and medical conferences; exchange of information on hospital management and patient management; development of common management programs, training to develop medical human resources; mutual support in implementing imaging development projects; shared use of necessary medical facilities in cooperation activities.
