According to Lao Cai newspaper, the most obvious highlight is the strong investment in facilities and teaching equipment in a modern, synchronous and appropriate direction to meet the needs of educational innovation. Thanks to that, the rate of schools at all levels meeting national standards in the area has grown dramatically, from 58.9% in 2020 to 75.6% in 2025.

This demonstrates the locality’s determination and constant efforts in planning, building and improving the educational environment. At the same time, the proportion of solid classrooms also reached 86% of the total number of classrooms, contributing to ensuring safe and effective teaching and learning conditions.

In particular, for mountainous areas and ethnic minority areas, Lao Cai province focuses on developing a system of accommodation for boarding and semi-boarding students. Currently, the rate of accommodation for students has reached 45.67%, creating favorable conditions for students to study with peace of mind, reducing the rate of school dropouts, and contributing to narrowing the gap in educational access opportunities between regions.

Aiming for sustainable development, Lao Cai sets a target that by 2030, the rate of schools at all levels meeting national standards will reach 85%. This is considered one of the key goals to continuously improve people's knowledge, develop high-quality human resources and build a comprehensive, equitable and modern education system, contributing to promoting local socio -economic development.
