The event was attended by Ambassadors of five ASEAN countries, Secretary of State of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski, Members of Parliament from the Poland-ASEAN Friendship Group and Ambassadors of ASEAN's dialogue partner countries (Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand).
Speaking at the ceremony, Thai Ambassador to Poland Urasa Mongkolnavin, ACW's rotating Chair, emphasized the central role of ASEAN and affirmed ACW's determination to promote cooperation between ASEAN and Poland.
Polish Foreign Minister Wladyslaw Teofil Bartoszewski affirmed that Poland attaches importance to strengthening cooperation with ASEAN, wishes to expand cooperation in the fields of economy , education, security, green and sustainable development; and thanked ACW countries for supporting Poland's participation in the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC).
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Poland-ASEAN Parliamentary Friendship Group Grzegorz Napieralski said that Polish parliamentarians from all political parties are very interested in the Southeast Asian region, expressing their willingness to cooperate with ACW to organize diplomatic, cultural and educational events at the Polish Parliament in the coming time.
This event not only marks the 58th anniversary of ASEAN but also affirms the role and image of ACW as a focal point connecting ASEAN with the host country. With the participation of many representatives of ASEAN member countries and dialogue partners, the Celebration has contributed to strengthening the ASEAN-Poland cooperation relationship, while spreading a positive image of ASEAN to local and international friends.
