At 7:00 p.m. on September 8, at Am Thuong Hydrological Station on Thao River, Ha Hoa District, the water level had reached 26 meters, reaching alarm level III. The water level is expected to continue to rise.

The Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Control and Search and Rescue (PCTT&TKCN) has issued an alert No. III to the PCTT&TKCN Steering Committees of the districts: Ha Hoa, Thanh Ba, Cam Khe and Phu Tho Irrigation Works Exploitation Company Limited, requesting the deployment of forces, materials and means according to the prescribed alarm levels; increase patrols, guarding, detecting any incidents and damage to dikes, embankments, culverts, pumping stations and taking timely measures; operating culverts and pumping stations along the river according to procedures, ensuring safety.
