Corporal Nguyen Dang Hoang, soldier of Mortar Squad 60, Company 4, Battalion 2, Regiment 841 shared: "Although it is still raining heavily, we are determined to work urgently to stabilize the school for the children soon. This afternoon we will complete the heavy work, and the school will continue to fix the light work, so that we can promptly support people in other places."

On the other hand, at Hoa Hong Kindergarten (Can Loc commune), Major Nguyen Quoc Toan, Deputy Regiment Commander, Chief of Staff of Regiment 841, directly commanded 60 officers and soldiers to overcome the consequences. He said: “Immediately after receiving orders from the Provincial Military Command, we deployed more than 100 officers and soldiers to mobilize forces to key areas, giving priority to schools so that children can go to class soon; at the same time, we urgently cleared roads blocked by fallen trees, ensuring smooth traffic. In the coming days, we will continue to help people overcome the consequences and soon stabilize their lives.”

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa Tham, Principal of Hoa Hong Kindergarten, emotionally said: “All three schools suffered heavy damage, including a high-rise building with 6 classrooms and most of the level 4 buildings whose roofs were blown off; the playground and school supplies were damaged. The timely presence of the soldiers helping the school clean up and repair gave us more confidence and motivation.”

According to preliminary statistics of Ha Tinh province, storm No. 10 completely collapsed 9 houses, blew off the roofs of more than 9,700 houses and 4,122 canopies; damaged over 70 schools; 15 commune and ward People's Committee headquarters; 2 medical stations; 23 village cultural houses; damaged thousands of hectares of crops and fruit trees; more than 12,500 trees were broken and felled... It is predicted that the damage could be even greater.

Since the morning of September 29, the Provincial Military Command has mobilized 2,500 officers, soldiers and militia, including 950 regular soldiers, along with 45 vehicles of various types, to key areas. The forces focused on helping schools, medical facilities, clearing traffic, and assisting people in overcoming the consequences.
