On October 6, Ms. Lo Thi Dai Trang, Head of the Department of Culture and Society of Yen Hoa commune (Nghe An), said that on the same morning, some schools in the area welcomed students back to school after more than a week of interrupted teaching due to storms and rain.
Yen Hoa Secondary School, Yen Thang Kindergarten and Binh Yen branch of Yen Hoa Kindergarten will begin welcoming students back to school on October 7, after completing the cleaning of mud and disinfecting the environment.

The impact of storm Bualoi (storm No. 10) and the flood on September 29th collapsed the bridge over Hoi Nguyen River, completely isolating the three villages of Vang Lin, Xop Coc, and Ban Tat (Yen Hoa commune).
The collapse of the only bridge connecting 3 villages to the commune center prevented 86 secondary school students from Vang Lin, Xop Coc, and Ban Tat from going to school. In addition, 126 primary school students from the outskirts could not cross the river to reach the school in Vang Lin village.
“This morning, the Commune People's Committee mobilized local police and military forces, along with officials and civil servants from departments and offices under the Commune People's Committee, to use boats to take 86 junior high school students from 3 villages Vang Lin, Xop Coc, and Ban Tat across the Hoi Nguyen River to go to school.
In the opposite direction, 126 primary school students, 26 teachers and 2 kindergarten teachers also traveled by boat to Vang Lin village to teach and study," Ms. Lo Thi Dai Trang informed.

Previously, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Nghe An Provincial Police, set up a tilted rope bridge to transport necessities and gasoline to more than 3,000 people in 3 isolated villages.
On the morning of October 6, Yen Hoa commune authorities also used this cable to take students across the river while floodwaters were still rising and flowing rapidly.
The students will remain at school throughout the school week to ensure their safety. However, of the 212 students listed above, 46 are non-boarding students from middle and primary schools.
Yen Hoa commune authorities have directed school principals to organize meals and accommodation for these students at school and mobilize resources to support boarding costs for them.
In the immediate future, the People's Committee of Yen Hoa commune will allocate funds to build a temporary bridge across the Hoi Nguyen River for people and students to travel. The commune is also proposing that provincial agencies rebuild a permanent bridge to replace the one that was swept away by the flood, ensuring safety for people's travel and circulation in the long term.
