Brigade 162 gives gifts and encourages godchildren for the new school year

On August 26, Brigade 162, Naval Region 4, in coordination with the local government of Cam Lam commune, Khanh Hoa province, visited and presented gifts to sponsored fishermen's children on the occasion of preparing for the new school year 2025-2026.

The working delegation led by Colonel Mai Van Doanh, Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Brigade, and Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Vuong, Brigade Commander, along with the Youth Union and Women's Union of the unit, visited the families of two children sponsored by the unit. They are Mang Vo Khanh Bang (10 years old), son of fisherman Vo Xuan Dong and Mang Thi Tuyet Trinh, and Hoang Tri Bao (9 years old), son of fisherman Hoang Trong Nghia and Huynh Thi Xuan Tham, in Cam Lam commune.

Colonel Mai Van Doanh spoke, expressing his hope that Hoang Tri Bao - the unit's godson - will strive to become a Navy soldier in the future.

The delegation kindly inquired about the health and life of the families of the two godchildren. At the same time, they encouraged and hoped that the children would try hard, be good, study well in the new school year, to become useful citizens contributing to the development of their homeland in the future.

On this occasion, in addition to the monthly support of 1 million VND/child, Brigade 162 gave the children books, school supplies, milk and cash for their families to buy essential items for their children.

The delegation took a friendly souvenir photo with the family of Hoang Tri Bao's godson.

As for the godson Hoang Tri Bao, who has a more difficult situation, he was given an additional gift by the Party Committee and the Regional Command. This is an activity to encourage and support the fishing family to overcome difficulties, continue to go out to sea, stick to the sea to escape poverty; help the children have good mental motivation to prepare for the new school year to strive to achieve high results. At the same time, further strengthen the solidarity relationship between the army and the people, building a strong military base.
