Brigade 6 fosters national knowledge

On July 7, Brigade 6 (Military Region 9) organized a national knowledge training course for more than 100 officers, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers. Colonel Hoang Tuyen Phong, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Brigade 6 attended.

The training course lasted for 5 days (from July 7 to 11), including the following contents: Ethnic minorities in Vietnam; implementation of the Party's viewpoints and policies on ethnic affairs; a number of State policies on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; preservation and promotion of the cultural identity of ethnic minorities to meet the requirements of sustainable development; promotion of the role of the grassroots political system in socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; singing and dancing in community activities of the Khmer ethnic minority.

Colonel Hoang Tuyen Phong emphasized that the training course is a favorable condition for officers and soldiers to study and acquire basic knowledge and ethnic languages, especially Khmer, in order to equip them with knowledge, culture, customs and practices of ethnic groups, ethnic policies of the Party and State; skills, methods, and experience in propagating and mobilizing people in ethnic minority areas. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and flexibly applying it to practical work at agencies and units.
