Fresh rice price increased slightly

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently OM 380 raw rice increased by 50 VND/kg, fluctuating at 7,900 - 8,000 VND/kg; IR 504 raw rice fluctuated at 8,150 - 8,200 VND/kg; OM 18 raw rice fluctuated at 9,300 - 9,500 VND/kg; 5451 raw rice fluctuated at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuated at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuated at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

Regarding by-products, the prices of by-products fluctuate from 5,550 - 7,300 VND/kg. Currently, the price of fragrant broken rice fluctuates at 7,100 - 7,300 VND/kg; broken rice 3-4 fluctuates at 6,600 - 6,700 VND/kg; the price of dry bran fluctuates at 5,550 - 5,700 VND/kg compared to the beginning of the week.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is quite good, the price of all types of rice is relatively stable. In Lap Vo ( Dong Thap ), the quantity is quite good, the quality rice is little, the price fluctuates slightly, the warehouses buy fragrant rice evenly. In Sa Dec (Dong Thap), a lot of rice is imported, mainly fragrant and sticky, concentrated in large warehouses, the quantity of rice imported is better than yesterday, the price is stable.

Sa Dec market canal (Dong Thap), rice arriving at the wharfs is in better quantity, market warehouses buy rice regularly, prices of all types of rice are stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang ), the quantity arriving is low, warehouses buy slowly.

At retail markets, the prices of rice of all kinds are stable compared to the beginning of the week. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of 28,000 VND/kg; regular rice fluctuates at 15,000 - 16,000 VND/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at 20,000 - 22,000 VND/kg; Huong Lai rice 22,000 VND/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at 18,000 - 20,000 VND/kg; Nang Hoa rice at 22,000 VND/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice 21,000 VND/kg; common white rice at 17,000 VND/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at 18,000 VND/kg; Soc Thai rice is 21,000 VND/kg; Japanese rice is 22,000 VND/kg.

In many localities today, the supply is quite good, buying and selling transactions are steady. In An Giang, farmers offer high rice prices, demand is steady, the market transactions are stable. In Kien Giang, the demand for fragrant rice, IR50404, buying and selling transactions are steady, prices fluctuate little.

In Can Tho, the supply is still low, transactions are sporadic, most of the area has been deposited by traders. In Dong Thap, farmers tend to increase the price of rice, rice transactions are regular, traders close the purchase price firmly. In Long An, the demand for fragrant rice is quite high, transactions are regular, fragrant rice prices increase.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices today increased slightly compared to the weekend. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 390 USD/ton (up 1 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 364 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 307 USD/ton.
