According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Decree 80/2023 stipulates that the time for managing gasoline prices is implemented every Thursday. In case the price management time coincides with the Lunar New Year holiday, it will be implemented in two ways.
If Thursday falls on the last day of the lunar year (29th or 30th of Lunar New Year), the petrol price adjustment will be made on the preceding Wednesday. In case Thursday falls on the first, second or third day of Lunar New Year, the petrol price adjustment will be made on the fourth day of Lunar New Year.
According to current regulations, the next adjustment period will be on Thursday, January 30, which coincides with the Lunar New Year holiday (ie the 2nd day of the Lunar New Year). Therefore, the upcoming adjustment of gasoline prices will be carried out on Saturday, February 1.
Currently, gasoline prices are traded according to the joint decision of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance on January 23. Accordingly, the retail price of RON 95 decreased by 78 VND/liter, down to 21,142 VND/liter. The retail price of E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 158 VND/liter, down to 20,592 VND/liter.
Diesel prices increased by 412 VND/liter to 20,194 VND/liter. Kerosene retail prices increased by 404 VND/liter to 20,110 VND/liter. Fuel oil prices increased by 571 VND/kg to 17,752 VND/kg.
