US Secret Service confesses about Trump's attempted assassination, "fake" in Russia-West conflict, Israel announces "hot" decision

America

* The US Secret Service has admitted failing to conduct a pre-screening of the site of the September 15 assassination attempt on Mr. Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, a confession that puts the already-stressed agency back in the spotlight just two months after a similar incident in Pennsylvania.

According to the New York Times , the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that the assassination suspect was near the golf course unhindered for nearly 12 hours before the shooting.

* Trump assassination attempt : Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump blamed the statements of US President Joe Biden and his opponent Kamala Harris for the failed assassination attempt on September 15 in Florida.

However, President Biden declared: "I have always condemned political violence. I always will," and said that American voters resolve their disagreements " peacefully at the ballot box, not at the barrel of a gun." (Reuters, AFP)

* The US has completed the withdrawal of troops from Niger at the request of the coup leaders in the West African country on September 15, agreed upon by both sides. The US military affirmed that the withdrawal was "safe, orderly and responsible", without any incidents. (AFP)

* Russia has increased the size of its army to more than 2.3 million people, including 1.5 million servicemen, since the beginning of December. * Israel announced that it has expanded its conflict objectives to the North to prevent attacks by the Hezbollah Islamist movement to allow residents to return home, according to official confirmation from the Israeli Security Cabinet on September 17.

Posting on social network X, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said: "The Security Cabinet has updated the objectives of the war, including the safe return of the people of the North to their homes. Israel will continue to act to achieve this goal." (Times of Israel)

* Iran-Russia are determined to implement the International South Asia-North Europe Transport Corridor (INSTC), a 7,200-km multimodal network of waterways, railways and roads to transport goods between India, Iran, Azerbaijan, Russia, Central Asia and Europe.
