America

* The US Secret Service has admitted failing to conduct a pre-screening of the site of the September 15 assassination attempt on Mr. Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, a confession that puts the already-stressed agency back in the spotlight just two months after a similar incident in Pennsylvania.

According to the New York Times , the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) said that the assassination suspect was near the golf course unhindered for nearly 12 hours before the shooting.

* Trump assassination attempt : Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump blamed the statements of US President Joe Biden and his opponent Kamala Harris for the failed assassination attempt on September 15 in Florida.

However, President Biden declared: "I have always condemned political violence. I always will," and said that American voters resolve their disagreements " peacefully at the ballot box, not at the barrel of a gun." (Reuters, AFP)
