McTominay nominated for Golden Ball, a painful slap for MU

Former MU midfielder Scott McTominay will be nominated for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, after an extremely successful season with Napoli.

The 28-year-old has had an impressive first year at Napoli, scoring 13 goals and providing six assists in 36 appearances.

The former MU midfielder made a great contribution to helping Napoli win Serie A 2024/25 and was voted the tournament's best player.

A year since leaving Old Trafford, McTominay is preparing to compete for the prestigious Ballon d'Or award.

Journalist Sam C said this is the first time the Scottish star has been nominated for the most prestigious individual award in the sport of kings.
