Microsoft Vietnam has a new 'general'

DNVN - On September 18, Microsoft announced the appointment of Mr. Dhanawat Suthumpun as Managing Director in charge of emerging markets including Vietnam, in addition to his current role as Managing Director of Microsoft Thailand.

In this new position, Mr. Dhanawat will lead emerging markets, including Vietnam, and continue to realize Microsoft's mission of accelerating the digital transformation journey of government agencies and private enterprises, contributing to innovation, sustainable development and comprehensive economic growth in Vietnam.

Mr. Dhanawat has over 30 years of leadership experience in the IT industry, including 8 years leading Microsoft Thailand. Prior to joining Microsoft, Mr. Dhanawat held senior management positions at Hewlett-Packard and IBM, where he led enterprise business development and strategic growth initiatives in Thailand and Southeast Asia. He holds an MBA from California State University, San Bernardino, and a BA in Accounting from Assumption University, Bangkok.

Mr. Dhanawat Suthumpun, Managing Director of Microsoft Thailand and Emerging Markets, including Vietnam, shared: “I am honored to take on the leadership role in emerging markets, including Vietnam, and have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the digital future as well as Vietnam's ambition to become a high-income economy by 2045.
