“Make in Vietnam” AI solution for the insurance industry

In recent years, Vietnamese insurers have been researching voice authentication solutions to modernize operations, combat rising fraud, and improve customer experience. According to research by Mordor Intelligence, the global voice biometrics market is growing rapidly and is expected to increase from US$2.63 billion in 2025 to US$5.7 billion in 2030.

Founded in 2022, NamiTech, a Vietnamese AI startup, recognized the need for voice-based customer identity authentication in the insurance industry and developed VoiceGate, which uses voice biometrics and speech-to-text to authenticate users, record consultations, and ensure compliance in real-time across a variety of environmental conditions, securely and with 24/7 operational stability.

To ensure performance and scalability, NamiTech has chosen the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform and natural language processing technology from Azure OpenAI to improve the efficiency of analyzing and extracting information from calls.

Natural language processing technology from Azure OpenAI has helped VoiceGate recognize and transcribe speech seamlessly and accurately.

Choosing Azure allows VoiceGate to take advantage of a robust and flexible infrastructure that can easily scale to customer needs without additional hardware investments. The solution also meets international security and compliance standards, giving insurers peace of mind when deploying at scale.

Leveraging the Azure cloud platform, Azure OpenAI natural language processing technology has supported VoiceGate in seamless and accurate speech recognition and transcription. This integration allows VoiceGate to provide enhanced customer interactions, reduce response times, and improve user experience. Additionally, Azure OpenAI's powerful AI models also help VoiceGate continuously learn and adapt, ensuring high performance and reliability.

In addition, based on NamiTech's exclusive environmental noise reduction technology, VoiceGate also allows recording and authentication in most common noisy communication environments such as sidewalk cafes or traditional markets. In particular, VoiceGate has met the requirement of service interruption time not exceeding 4 hours per month - a strict standard that systems serving the insurance industry must comply with.

Up to now, VoiceGate has been deployed at many large insurance companies in Vietnam such as Bao Viet Life, Prudential Vietnam and Manulife Vietnam. The system helps automate the identity authentication process and analyze consulting content, ensuring transparency and accuracy in business operations, while significantly reducing pressure on the monitoring and operational support team.

Previously, Bao Viet Life spent about 60 minutes manually verifying each consultation. Now, with VoiceGate automating the compliance check process, the verification time has been shortened to less than a minute, significantly improving operational efficiency.

Another highlight is that VoiceGate can handle large volumes of consultation sessions at the same time, without interruption.

Behind the success of VoiceGate is the close coordination between NamiTech, Microsoft and SoftwareOne - the unit implementing Azure solutions in Vietnam.
