Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education launches green energy excellence training network

(NLDO) - On September 26, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement on the network of excellent training centers and talents in the field of renewable energy.

The event aims to implement Decision No. 374/QD-TTg dated February 19, 2025 of the Prime Minister on developing a system of excellent training centers and talents in technology 4.0 by 2030. Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education is one of 13 higher education institutions assigned to lead the network in the field of renewable energy and hydrogen.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education held a signing ceremony for the Network of Training Centers of Excellence and Talent in the field of renewable energy and hydrogen energy, and announced and launched 15 Key Research Groups.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Quach Thanh Hai, Vice Principal of the school, said: “Vietnam has the potential to become a pioneer country in green energy development. With a solid foundation of training and research, the school is honored to be assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training to preside over the construction of the network. This is both a source of pride and a great responsibility of the school in training high-quality human resources, contributing to the Net-zero 2050 goal.”

Since 2018, the renewable energy department at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education has trained nearly 200 bachelors, focusing on equipping them with survey skills, project development, design, operation and system maintenance. At the same time, the school has promoted research on fuel cells, solar energy, cold storage, artificial intelligence in forecasting and detecting errors. At the same time, it has expanded cooperation with businesses, implemented scholarships and transferred technology.

On this occasion, the school officially announced 15 key research groups, which are expected to become the core force to promote scientific and technological activities and innovation in the spirit of Resolution 57-NQ/TW.

The Network of Training Centers of Excellence and Talent in the field of renewable energy and hydrogen energy includes the following members:
